I am currently interested in the UK 5MHz experiment & operate on the 7 fixed frequencies allocated to the amateur service in the UK under the NoV terms. I normally operate QRP with simple aerials - this to me is the real advantage of these frequencies.
The following table shows 5MHz allocations available for amateur use in the countries that allow it, as well as selected other frequencies and stations with known activity around 5 and 6MHz which may be useful as propagation indicators to or from various areas.
All Upper Sideband (USB) unless otherwise noted.
UK military cadet stations are allowed to operate on the UK frequencies and communicate with amateurs as a part of the experiment.
